Mark and I don't often eat at our kitchen table. We like to sit ourselves at the island on our stools and chow down. However, we've been noticing that as company visits, our kitchen table chairs were beginning to wear down, putting our guests at risk for falling on their rears. We took our time on the hunt, trying to find something that would spark our interest. Low and behold we found four chairs that were selling for $4 each. Part metal, part wood, we thought these chairs looked like a project that would fit right in with our "restore" decor. We took these green chairs with light wood seats and made a few changes. Mark stained the seats of the chairs to a darker color and I spray painted the metal black. These chairs look as good as new AND look like a match made in heaven for our kitchen table!

The fourth chair is stationed in the living room, we bring it in when reinforcements are needed. This was such a fun and easy project and I loved that we were able to bring these cool chairs back to life.

Spring is finally here and so are our new projects! Mark and I went to Wolf Hill Home and Garden in Ipswich on Tuesday afternoon. They sell Cambridge Paving Stones and we wanted to see some selections up close for the patio in our backyard. We chose square onyx paving stones for the border and Toffee Onyx Lite for the rest of the patio. The stones were delivered on Friday and today our patio went in! Check out the pictures below of the process:
